Sailing Away
10' x 5" wool, wood, glass, metal
Sailing scene with four sailboats in the sea. The bottom half is crocheted with blue, yellow, green, pink, and purple mixed yarn to look like the ocean in the sunshine reflecting many colors and the top is crocheted in pale blue to look like the sky. The Sail boats are varied sizes. The first is made from black stone with a white and blue pottery mast. The second is silver pottery with a gold painted piece of glass for a mast. The third is made of light-colored wood with a darker piece of wood for the mast. The fourth is made of cobalt glass with a greyish green shell for the mast.
